Ash Wednesday!

Don't forget to go get your ashes today! It is Ash Wednesday which is the start of the Lent season. Ash Wednesday, according to christian tradition, occurs 40 days before Easter (not including Sundays). It is a day in which you start your fasting for Easter. The name Ash Wednesday comes from the practice of getting blessed ashes put on your head in the shape of a cross. The ashes comes from burned palms left over from last years Palm Sunday.
