Apple CEO Steve Jobs Takes Medical Leave

Apple CEO Steve Jobs sent an email to his employees Monday to say that he is taking a medical leave of absence but will remain CEO and stay involved in the company's major strategic decisions. In the email Jobs sent to his employees, he said: "I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy."  This will be the third time Jobs steps away from the company for medical reasons.  Steve Jobs is a survivor of pancreatic cancer, and received a liver transplant while on his last leave of absence.
